Patio Pop-Up Shops harken the Holidays

Especially-invited top artisans from Nogales to Tucson will be showcasing their work during the Patio Pop-Up Sale at the Tubac Center of the Arts (TCA) this month as part of its “Shop Safe! Shop Fun!” initiative.  Painters, woodworkers, jewelry designers, potters, craft demonstrators, custom clothiers, and much more,  will offer their latest creations exclusively at below-market prices.

Our Patio Pop-Ups began last month and are slated to take place every fourth weekend till the end of the year or even beyond, based on demand.  With so many arts and crafts event cancelled due to COVID, we are pleased to have a safe venue for our member artists to sell their work!

TCA, a non-profit organization,  never charges a vendor event booth fee, instead, sharing sales profits with their artist partners.

TCA executive director Karin Topping explains that the Patio Pop-Up program is one of two initiatives introduced this season to help locals shop in a safe and socially-distanced manner, as well as to spur local member artists during these difficult times.  TCA’s free Personal Shopper Service launched last month and includes home or car delivery of especially-curated gift items.

For those who wish to tour the TCA Gallery’s and new exhibits, TCA’s popular Gift Shop will also open during the weekend, featuring unique Holiday merchandise.  Checkout is contactless and all volunteers work behind plexiglass shields. Masks are required to enter the building.

In addition to the vendor booths at the Patio Pop Ups there will be hourly drawings for free TCA Shop, Gallery or event-related gifts. Come on by and shop local for all your Holiday gifts!
